About the Book
‘Unbreakable and other stories – the lives of women’ is the title of this second edition of Batjha Kaofela, written by youth for youth. This is a wonderful collection of 10 stories that everyone will relate to and enjoy. The stories are about real life and while they are not all ‘happy stories’, they contain our shared experiences. The stories all speak to the theme of the 2017 JBF Festival, Women and Literature.
About the Author
The ten young authors of the selected short stories were selected from more than 100 submissions (as part of the JBF annual short story schools’ competition 2017) through a panel of external moderators. The authors all come from schools and OVC centres in townships that the JBF works with throughout the year.
